So I was skulking around Jetstar’s website again and discovered two things:
- The introduction of the StarClass for International flights on the A330; and
- Starting November 23, 2006, they will start flying from Melbourne and Sydney to Bangkok, Phuket (November 24), Vietnam (November 30), Denpasar (December 8) and Osaka (March 25, 2007)
This is probably every backpacker/budget traveler’s dream come true. Of course, there’s Tiger Airways who flies from Singapore to Darwin, but Jetstar will be offering more flights to Asia from southeast Australia.
I’m actually giddy about this. On the other hand, I really should get a life.

You don’t need a life; you’re doing this for a living, so it’s PERFECT for you!
…also, I’m always lurking on this page (it’s bookmarked) & I really do love all the tips you give out to your viewers. You never know when you’ll use ‘em!
…keep skulking!
Oh how I wish I was doing this for a living. Well, at one point, I worked in a travel magazine, but that didn’t quite work out as I planned
It’d be nice if this blog *can* sustain my travel (and shopping!). But I’m happy enough writing about travel and getting published everytime, hehehe.
it’s nice that budget airlines are now catering the philippines.i usually use Airasia and im hoping that they will have direct flights from Clark to Bangkok since its a good jumpoff point in backpacking in asia…great blog! hope i could add your site on my website links.. nice to see a fellow filipino/filipina backpacker around the net…
Yeah! A direct flight to Bangkok would be awesome! It would definitely intice more tourists to visit the Philippines. But I’m not complaining if I have to stop over at Singapore or Malaysia en route to Thailand!
Thanks for the compliments, by the way. Your site looks great! I enjoyed looking at your photos. I’m just starting to read your blog. Want to exchange links?
Btw, are you on the BootsnAll forums as well? I post there as nina9702 and neener at Travelfish.org
