The cabbies want to earn more on a fixed fare. One guy was offering Php200 for a ride to the resort. A fair price; if on a cab. It turns out he was driving a tricycle! It was a 30-minute long drive! The same trike driver was offering Php50 fare for a ride to the mall, where he said there’d be taxis we can take. We turned him down, and kept walking. He kept on following us! Eventually, somebody hailed him, and he drove away. We kept on walking and came upon the mall. It was within walking distance and definitely doesn’t cost Php50.

Even though the cabbies were kinda outrageous. What’s the deal w/ the “fixed” prices? Also, how much were they asking?
