Take one of our cheap flights to Thailand

Kuala Lumpur via Cebu Pacific

We interrupt our regular programming for this awesome announcement I received in the mail today:

Introducing [tag]Cebu Pacific[/tag]‘s newest regional destination. . . KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA!

Fly from MANILA TO KUALA LUMPUR (vice versa) for only 1,499 pesos one-way!

Visit the truly Asian capital and experience the unique fusion of cultural heritage, colorful festivals and endless shopping on our introductory fare.

HURRY, catch the KUALA LUMPUR SEAT SALE from October 11 – 18, 2006 only! Travel period is from November 30, 2006 to January 31, 2007.

They will be flying from the Ninoy Aquino International Airport in Manila, and landing at KL’s [tag]Low Cost Carrier[/tag]Terminal. Promo fare amounts to around Php6,000. Not a bad deal. Similar to their Singapore schedule, the Manila-KL route is late at night/very early in the morning:

Manila – Kuala Lumpur
ETD: 20:55 (8:55pm)
ETA: 00:25 (12:25am)

Kuala Lumpur – Manila
ETD: 01:10 (1:10am)
ETA: 05:00 (5:00am)

Oh the irony. I’m currently holding a ticket to an Air Asia destination originating and returning in [tag]Kuala Lumpur[/tag], while my Manila-Kuala Lumpur leg is still in a limbo. The travel dates in the ticket I’m holding is before January 31, 2007, so this piece of announcement is great news.

Unfortunately, my plans right now are pretty messed up, and I’m actually considering re-scheduling this January trip. Talk about bad timing. Bleah.

Wow…I’m jealous you can fly so cheap to all these Asian destinations! ;) How long will the flight be?

Question: do you need a visa to travel to Malaysia? Or can you fly freely to other Asian countries?

  2. nina says:

Flying time to Malaysia is approximately 4 hours.

As a Philippine passport holder, we’re not required to apply for visa prior to arrival to any South East Asian countries (provided they’re an ASEAN member). We get a visa upon arrival and can stay for as long as we’re allowed (varies by country)

  3. bchai says:

No visa? Sweeeeeet [imitation surfer-dude voice].

That’s kinda neat about that ASEAN thing. It takes the hassle away from having to apply for a visa & such. :)

  4. nina says:

Well on the down side, we have to apply for visa to several other countries :(

Hi ecy! Cebu Pacific regularly have these fare promos, so sooner or later, there’s bound to be another one. It’s best to join their mailing list, so you’ll be notified whenever they have a promo :) You can sign up through their website at http://cebupacificair.com

    Good luck! :)

Before you post...

I read all comments posted here, but sometimes I do not have the time nor energy to answer each one.
