Philippine Airlines’s newest Airbus A320, which features a “21st-century enhanced cabin” that is the first to be outfitted for an Asian carrier, arrived recently to join the flag carrier’s modernizing fleet.
The cabin is the widest of any single aisle aircraft in the Philippines, allowing for wider seats in both Mabuhay (business) and Fiesta (economy) classes, a more spacious aisle and larger overhead stowage bins.
The German-made Recaro seats offer a pitch of 39 inches in Mabuhay Class and 30 inches in Fiesta Class, the most generous in the market – raising passenger comfort levels significantly.
There’s no picture in the website, but somebody from the PinoyExchange forum posted pictures of the aircraft’s interior. That certainly looks nice.
Damn, I couldn’t wait to try this out! (And get frequent flyer points while I’m at it, heh.)

I like this post....
i always fly pal, once lang ako ng air phil at cebu pacific. pero ang international flights ng pal, ung 747 nila luma na, may umiilig na tubig galing sa ceiling tapos ung emergency lock naka duct tape. i wish they’d get better int’l planes. it’s for safety naman. and i’ve been delayed for almost half of the time because of technical problems.
Yuck, talaga, may duct tape? Na sakyan ko din dati yung 747 nila pero wala naman akong napansin na duct tape. Pero grabe yung isang plane nila, sobrang nag ra-rattle! Nakakaloka.
Really?? well don’t have to worry cuz their new refurbished B747 are already here!!! new improvements!! i’d love to try it out this summer!!! new cocoon flat bed for mabuhay class and new seats and the one i love personal screen fpr fiesta class!!!! talagang bumabangon ang PAL ngayon ah and i researched it they are making a deal with airbus for i think 20?? or 15?? Airbus a350!!! new improvements!!!
