Sadly, we did not enjoy our stay at Casa Bianca last May 19, 2011. We found the place very gloomy and depressing, far from the tourist center (we had to pay tricycle fare of P10 for each person everytime we need to go to the Tourist Center), and the service at the restaurant was very slow (our breakfast was served one hour after we ordered them, and we only ordered 6 fried eggs, 4 cups of rice, 2 instant pancit canton, 3 cups of coffee and 1 orange juice.) So we got out of Casa Bianca as soon as we woke up the following morning (at 6 am) and stayed at Vitton Beach Resort.

Can you add AGULUZ HOMESTAY in the list of place of acommodation in Donsol?
My homestay is located at Barangay Awaii, at the city center. It is just 10 minutes drive by tricycle to the Butanding Interaction Center. The room rates are:

ac family room with private bath, cable TV, 4 pax…………………1,800php
ac standard room, shared bath, 4 pax……………………………….1,600
fan room, shared bath, 2 pax………………………………………….. 800

Other servicesI offered are transportation, meals, firefly watching, island hopping,
tours to Albay and Sorsogon and backyard tour of Donsol. I also have free WIFI services.

as i was reading the blogs, its a quite funny to read the accounting and the wrong charging.. closer to “God’s must be crazy”.. anyway, i guess they (tourists) enjoyed
the whaleshark interaction..I am takz of donsol.. also engaged in whaleshark tours..
i guess i can assist visitors for their inquiry about the particulars here in donsol.. especially that almost all of the basic services have changed…i have already asked manay Nitz, (designated tourism officer) of the new prices for the whaleshark interactions and other new policies..she told me that by 2 weeks, the municipal council will give the final list of charges..

we stayed at woodland. the staff at the canteen is pretty friendly. they gave us the wrong room though (we reserved for no hot and cold shower) and was charged for it. no other rooms left so no choice.

Vitton is a nice resort and indeed very convenient.

The staff has to learn some basic accounting techniques though. Make sure you ask them to compute your bill the night before you leave otherwise you will spend quite some time looking at them fiddle with their calculator and pen hopelessly. I computed our bills myself because they were confused and could not do it (their own words).

Tips if staying at Vitton:

1. Pay the bills way before your departure time.
2. Bring the bank receipt of your 50% deposit. They gave me the impression they have no records of it. Apparently, it is the guests duty to show them. I do not know what would have happened if I misplaced it.
3. Do not order the spaghetti bolognese. I saw one plate of it – so orange! Must be banana ketchup. So wrong.
