Hello Nina,

I just happen to stumble on your blog. It’s one of my vacation getaway to go to Batanes but have no time to do it. My friends who already Batanes told me that they have a great time in there. Maybe this year I can go there. But for the time being, I will probably include Batanes and write something in my website Etravel Pilipinas ( http://www.etravelpilipinas.com/ ) about this beautiful place for local travelers here in the Philippines but also for foreign travelers.

wow! it’s one of my dream destinations in the philippines. lola ida, is quite famous. i hope that ill be able to have an internet connection there to show the many posts that feature her.

After reading your take on Batanes…I would convince Lola Ida to CHARGE people for taking pictures of her house and face. At least a couple of pesos so that she could use it to maintain the building and keep a little for herself.
