What’s in my bag?

Cathy says she misses my “What’s in my bag?” posts, so here’s another one :D

I can never travel to Singapore and NOT bring a huge suitcase. I always bring lots of things for my brother and his family, and I always end up shopping more than I should. This trip was no exception.

What's in my bag
Barely meeting my 15-kilo check-in baggage limit

In my suitcase: two bottles of chili crab sauce for Gail (not seen), 2 kilos of Aik Cheong coffee from Malacca (they’re gooood), 2 packs of instant Laksa (it was Khursten‘s idea!), a bunch of clothes me and my brother bought on sale, a handbag for my mother (a gift from my sister-in-law), a bunch of Ikea stuff (including a pillow and a knife sharpener), a couple of DVDs that has been there since June, and 3 Pullip dolls. I wasn’t even able to bring ANY of my own clothes home.

lol if you weren’t able to fit any of your clothes, how will they get to you? is your brother shipping them to you instead? :D

Haha, natawa rin ako dito. Mind if I ask which Pullips these are? Neo Noir ba yung isa?

Magnetic_rose: Yup, my brother’s sending home a balikbayan box this week. Aside from my clothes, stuff that I bought which aren’t Christmas presents are also left in the box. Cheaper than having to pay excess baggage :D

dementedchris: Nope, not Neo Noir. Roman Holiday Princess Anne, Prunella and Celsiy :D

NINA, I wuuub you. I really love your “what’s in my bag” posts and pictures. Only because you always have the neatest things stuffed in ‘em.

Wow—3 Pullips? I MUST catch up to your posts and pictures in Flickr (sorry, been somewhat sporadic here & there), so I can add my little “notes.” Are the dolls cheaper in Singapore?

…and I don’t blame you for not being able to bring any clothes home. I’d probably do the same. Okay, you definitely need to bring a bigger suitcase the next time you head back there. Much bigger. ;)

Cat: haha, can’t get a bigger suitcase.. check-in baggage is only 15-20 kilos! But nevermind, I can always send my excess stuff via balikbayan box, which would cost much cheaper than haveing to pay excess baggage charges!

Those 3 Pullips aren’t mine — they’re for collectors who asked me to buy or pick up dolls from the store in Singapore. Pullips aren’t readily available in Manila, so Singapore, Hong Kong and Thailand are the nearest places to get them from.
