Oh hai, Malaysia!

So many things to write about, but I’m too pooped and I have to be up in less than 8 hours so here’s a short post in bullet points:

Curry Laksa Mee
Laksa!

  • Yes, I am back in Malaysia. I’m currently in Kuala Lumpur, along with Ivan and Ferdz. We’re here upon the invitation of Tourism Malaysia.
  • We have a full itinerary, which includes the Petronas Skybridge, Sunway Lagoon, Genting Highlands and Cameron Highlands.
  • On to more random things: airport lounges are love. Thank you, Ivan.
  • Our 4:50pm flight out of Manila was delayed by an hour because of heavy air traffic at NAIA.
  • Ferdz got a windowless window seat. So if you’re flying Malaysia Airlines, tell the ground staff not to seat you at row 20.
  • KLIA is pretty. I can’t wait to explore it during the day when we fly back to Manila.
  • Malaysia Airlines is testing out Aero Mobile in one of their Boeing 777 planes. We happened to be in that plane. I was able to open my phone and send a text message to friends. I am looking forward to seeing my phone bill.
  • My first meal in Malaysia is once again, Char Kway Teow and Curry Laksa Mee.
  • I love my room at the Impiana KLCC. I don’t think I want to go back to hostels.

Chris: At the start, fail siya kasi walang signal, but while we were in the middle of the sea, meron na and my friends were able to get my sms :D

Mr. Whattaworld: Sige, if we pass by Tanah Rata. I think we’re staying somewhere else eh :(

Oh hey yay now you’re in Malaysia :D

It’s a wonderful time to be in KL at the moment – it’s Merdeka Day (Independence Day) on Monday so its a long weekend for us Malaysians. The firework display from Dataran Merdeka is awesome, especially so when you’re staying in Impiana KLCC!

    Have fun Nina!

    Lyn

  6. nina says:

    Doc Mike: Is it ever!

Lyn: We’re actually supposed to be here for Merdeka, but the celebration has been cut down to just 40 minutes, so we’re headed to Malacca instead :D

  7. Getting a sponsored trip just shows bloggers are now a force to reckon with. And traveling with like-minded bloggers must be fun.

Congratulations on going “big time” with your blogging!

I’m laughing so hard at your line, “I don’t think I want to go back to hostels.” At this rate, maybe you won’t have to!

WOW, nina… you’re being recognized internationally at talagang you’re “invited by Tourism Malaysia” pa. Kudos and keep up the good work. I love your perks!!! :)

Wow, ang galing naman. Me junket pala, hahaha. KL is one place I’d never get tired of going, kahit kumakalog ako sa Air Asia :D

Before you post...

I read all comments posted here, but sometimes I do not have the time nor energy to answer each one. So please read the post in its entirety before posting something. Once again, I reiterate that I am not affiliated with any hotel, embassy or company that have been featured in this blog unless otherwise stated. Also, posting your e-mail address and mobile number for the world to see? Bad idea.
