Hong Kong in March 2009. 😉 Whenever I traveled to HK in the past, it was always during their summers. This year, I wandered around Times Square wishing I wore a heavier coat. Or pants. XD

Best place i went to this year is Cambodia, truly a kingdom of wonder as their tagline says. Aside from the wonders of the Angkor empire, the people, though poor are the nicest i’ve ever met.

The only place I really traveled to outside Metro Manila this year was Tagaytay. Twice. T’was fun, though. 🙂

The Buddha Park just outside Vientiane, Laos. Felt like Alice in Wonderland amidst all the larger than life statues. Wish I had brought costumes 🙂 heh

I had a lot of trips this year but nothing really beats Davao because there is so much you can do there. The beach, the zipline, great food, fabulous massages, farm resorts, the zoo is all just about 5 to 15 minutes away.

Cagayan de Oro (CDO)! From the beaches, canopy walk and zipline to white water rafting, CDO is really an adventurous place to go.

We also had a gastronomic adventure! Their durian tastes different from Davao’s durian, it’s texture is similar to the ice cream… and that’s my first time to eat that fruit. Hams are also the best!

  34. Kristel Avatar

Budapest, Hungary. I admit that this wasn’t originally at the top of my to-go-to list but when I visited last May, it was such an amazing place. The old world in general is amazing but having the building around a river light up all around you in cool weather is something else. Plus, the food was amazing. 🙂

  35. Dea Avatar

Davao City! The people, the food, the beach–everything was just wonderful! I went on a three-country SEA backpacking trip, but none of the places that I visited on that trip (beautiful as they were) could compare to the Philippines.

My best trip of the 2009 was a winter journey through Yellowstone National Park in Montana, USA, this past January — nearly a year ago already!

Alas, I’m not eligible to enter the contest — but it will be amusing if I “win” the first round and you have to re-randomize nonetheless. 😉

Happy Holidays, and best wishes to you for many more exciting, safe travels this coming year!

Best place I visited this year was Beijing. I went during the summer, surrounded by throngs of people, but not even the crowds and the noise could take away the awe of visiting centuries-old palaces and temples. It was amazing. Definitely a trip to remember. 🙂

Hi I’m bella from Taguig City. The best place i traveled was “Quiapo”. It was the topic of my research for our Local History subject. People think of Quiapo as a haven for pick-pockets, but the other side of Quiapo, which is its History and culture, is very captivating. It was indeed Love at first sight!
