Will travelling change your life?

My travels last year didn’t really change me much. I’m still pretty aloof and anti-social, but I like to think that travelling solo made me believe more in myself. Maybe one day, after a longer trip, I can have a “success” story like these people.

“I was freaked out before my first trip, too. On the plane ride over I kept thinking, “Why am I going to India?” I ended up having the time of my life and returned two years later. The key is to just go with the flow. Actually, don’t just go with the flow — embrace the flow.”

  1. ianmack Said,

Thanks for the link to those success stories. I think the length of a trip is usually what really changes someone — although it also depends how you travel (bapacking or hotels), how far you stray from the beaten path, and how much you’re willing to learn from the locals.

Nina Fuentes | Lovin' ManilaNina, going through quarterlife crisis, decided to stop talking about traveling and actually start traveling. Starting with a solo weekend trip to Cebu to a backpacking trip in Thailand and Singapore, she finally made it out of Asia and into Australia. After spending close to six months down under, she's happily settled in Manila (for now), intent to explore the best things the Philippines has to offer.
