Hello! Welcome to JustWandering.org.
Don’t be fooled; I’m not as well-traveled as you think. Well, I *have* gone to lots of places, but my list of places I haven’t been to is a lot longer.
I have lived in Manila all my life. My first long trip was probably a trip to my parent’s hometown in Bulusan, Sorsogon when I was only a year old. My first overseas trip, and the first time I ever rode an airplane was in 1995 to visit my sister who was then living in Jakarta, Indonesia. The first time I ever went out of the country alone was in 2000, on my first trip to Singapore to live with my brother for a month. The following day though, I was joined by my bestfriend who was in a different flight.
My first backpacking trip was to Cebu back in March 2006. It was a dry-run of my 2-week solo trip to Thailand and Singapore. Though both trips were memorable, the most unforgettable holiday is still the two weeks I spent in Boracay with my friends. Ah, Bora.
Last December 2006, I went on my first inter-continental trip: to Australia. While in Melbourne, I took a couple of weekends off to visit Sydney and the Gold Coast. I love it there and I can’t wait to go back.
When I’m not traveling, I like to catch up on my big pile of unread books, cook and bake comfort foods, and hoard Pinky Street dolls. When I get stressed, I hand code HTML and CSS (it’s therapeutic, really), and research and plan for my next destination.
I work at home as a Virtual Assistant. On the side, I maintain this blog, as well as a couple of other personal blogs. I am also a blogger for the Manila Metroblogs.
Just to let you know, I don’t get paid to write about airline promos, reviews and whatnots. I am not and never have been affiliated with ANY airline, hotel or resort.* Paid or sponsored entries are duly marked.
* Due to recent turn of events, I am now a part of the Seair Adventure Club, and I get free plane tickets to Seair‘s destinations.
