OR, worst case scenario: a family of 10 who wanted to sit by each other. I’ve only seen that once. It wasn’t pretty.

If I can’t hear them, they don’t bother me. Besides, they’re so much better and comfortable than airline supplied headphones which makes the IFE a lot more enjoyable.

Re: Couples. Aren’t seats assigned at check-in? Most of the time, if you’re checking in together, you get adjoining seats. Sucky if you check in late though.

I’ve always hated the couple or family who complains to the stewardess that they’re not seated together & blah blah. That’s probably one of my flight peeves. Another one: sitting by someone who’s annoyingly chatty or smells like funk.
