David: Thanks for the greetings! The spammy pingbacks were starting to get annoying so I just removed all of them. It was fine at first (when there were only 1 or 2) but it was getting out of hand lately.

The “rotating” banner is replaced by the flickr bar on the right sidebar. Not as dynamic or dramatic as the previous one, I must admit. But when I don’t need Google money anymore, maybe I’ll put the big ones back 😉

I like the new layout, the “readability” is enhanced considerably.

But… I totally loved the old “rotating” header with the changing photos. Is there any way to work that into this layout?

I have several “blogging” questions I might email you with at some point, if you don’t mind.

Happy B-day again, one year closer to crotchety old age, yay for you! And yeah, I voted in the poll, and it almost broke my heart to face reality as I did so!
