From where I’m sitting…

…this is what I’m seeing.

The tail end of the typhoon that hit the Philippines has finally left and we woke up to spectacular sunshine in Boracay. The waves are still rough and the wind is still blowing hard, but that’s not stopping anybody from frolicking in the cool turquoise waters.

Seair recently increased their flights to Caticlan, with departures from Manila and Cebu. Currently, they are the only airline flying in and out of Caticlan, the jump off point to Boracay Island.

Looks like all that wind and waves sent sea weeds unto the shore. But I think it adds more organic beauty to Boracay.

Nomadic Pinoy: Balabag beach during the habagat season looks like like Bulabog beach during the amihan. You’re right, it’s nice to see natural debris on the beach, unlike during the peak season when you can see broken bottles strewn all around!

Cathy: Sad naman 🙁 It was gloomy when I arrived last Saturday, but the sun has made an appearance once or twice since. The wind doesn’t let up, and it still rain at lease twice in the course of the day.

I’m going to Bora for the long weekend, I’m excited! From your picture, the weather is just right – not too hot but not too cold either. Should be fun! 🙂

I was caught in a typhoon in Shanghai and when it was over, the sky cleared up and it was the first time I saw clouds and a blue sky.
