Win a Microtel discount voucher!

During the Lakbay Norte tour last January, I somehow ended up with three extra Microtel 50% discount voucher. I already have one that came with my press kit, and I’m pretty sure I won’t be able to use all four cards before it expires in June 2010. I figured it would be better to raffle them off here instead of letting them go to waste.

So what do you need to do to get the voucher? Simple: just share a travel tip for any of Microtel’s 9 locations. What’s your favorite restaurant in Puerto Princessa? What’s there to do in Tarlac? Where can I buy the sweetest strawberries in Baguio? Post your travel tips and secrets in the comment box and you’re eligible for a raffle entry!

Before we get to the mechanics, here’s the terms & conditions of the discount card:

• Discount is based on rack/published rate and is applicable to one (1) room per stay.
• Discount is for room accommodation only (good for 2 persons)
• Hotel reservations are subject to availability and must be made in advance.
• This is not valid during peak periods.
• This must be surrendered upon check-in.
• This is not convertible to cash.
• This cannot be used in conjunction with any existing promotional offers, packages, internet rates, corporate rates, contracted rates and conference/group bookings.
• This is not replaceable if lost or stolen.
• Valid until June 30, 2010.

Contest Mechanics

• Contest is open to all Philippine residents.
• To enter, contestants must post a travel tip about any of Microtel’s locations (Baguio, Batangas, Boracay, Cabanatuan, Cavite, Davao, Mall of Asia, Palawan and Tarlac), in the comments section of this post. Be sure to enter a valid e-mail address so I can contact you in case you win. One comment is equivalent to one entry. If a comment contains tips for more than one location, poster gets another raffle entry (depending on the number of locations).
• Contest is from March 26 until April 4, 2010.
• Winners will be drawn via Random.org’s List Randomizer. Contestants that ends up in numbers 7, 9 and 13 gets the voucher. Winners will be announced on April 6 and prize will be shipped via courier.
