In reply to claire. Hindi ko po alam kung puede na yang copy ng birth certificate from the national archive. Mas maigi po kung sa DFA po kayo mismo magtanong. Yung sa anak niyo po, dapat po sya mag schedule ng appointment para sa renewal niya. Kapag may schedule na sya, puede po kayong sumabay na dahil hindi ninyo kailangan ng appointment.

hi mam nina patsy canlaspo mag renew po ako ng passport 69 year old due date issued 21 january 2014 negative ang spa ko pero may birth certificate ako galing sa national archives of the phils.na certification na ako ay pinanganak ng nov.22 1949.. at may sinor id, sss id, and umid id for pension ma accept po b ako sa renewal ng passport.. at kasabay ko rin ang anak ko sa pag renew sa kanyang appoint para isang pamasahe nalang from mindoro province namin po.

“Those renewing must bring their expired/expiring passport, along with a photocopy of the first and last page, amendments page, and the page with the last Bureau of Immigration departure and arrival stamps.” – Please speak in layman’s term. People don’t understand this requirements unless you explain them or direct your readers to an official page explaining these requirements.

In reply to Vivien P. Ortega. Hi Vivien, sorry for the late response. My mother didn't have a birth certificate either, so she went to the NSO and filed her own birth certificate. I'm not entirely sure what the process is, but it's best to call the NSO regarding doing this. They might ask for her baptismal certificate (which is what is common in the provinces). I hope this helps.
