In reply to ghie. I've heard of stories of Immigration officials being condescending towards Filipinos flying out of Clark. However, I don't think it follows that you get terrible treatment if you fly with low cost carriers.

Hi Nina- i’ve been hesitant to travel HK & SG via Clark as i’ve been hearing lots of bad experince from BI based on DMIA..how true is it that when traveling on promo fare, you got a less par service not only from airline crew but also from immigration officer as well?

Hi Nina – Does Hong Kong give a visa on arrival? I am Filipino American and I have a U.S. Passport. We are here now in the Philippines (our first trip) visiting our relatives and seeing the sights. While we are here in Asia, we also want to try to visit Sinagpore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Brunei, Thailand, Indonesia, and Myanmar. Do you know which of these countries allow you to just arrive with a passport in hand, and which countries will require getting a visa from their consulate/embassy beforehand? Thank you Nina!
