I’ve heard of stories of Immigration officials being condescending towards Filipinos flying out of Clark. However, I don’t think it follows that you get terrible treatment if you fly with low cost carriers.

Hi Jen, visa requirements vary per country for different passports. Wikipedia has a list of visa requirements for US Passport holders.

I am Filipino American and I have a U.S. Passport. We are here now in the Philippines (our first trip) visiting our relatives and seeing the sights. While we are here in Asia, we also want to try to visit Sinagpore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Brunei, Thailand, Indonesia, and Myanmar. Do you know which of these countries allow you to just arrive with a passport in hand, and which countries will require getting a visa from their consulate/embassy beforehand? Thank you Nina! We love your website and the new layout! Keep blogging!
