Give the gift of travel from Deal Grocer

This special feature is brought to you in part by Deal Grocer.

Whenever Christmas comes around, traffic in Metro Manila gets even worse than it already is. Traffic is especially bad this year (even before the holidays), and I am scared at how much worse it would get closer to Christmas. After getting stuck for hours waiting for a cab a couple of times now, I’ve resolved not to go venture out of Quezon City until after the 25th, or at least made sure I’m back home before nightfall.

Picture yourself relaxing at the Misibis Bay Luxury Villa

If you’re feeling the same, you’d find that it would put a huge damper on your Christmas shopping. Luckily, there are now plenty of locally-based online stores, so you don’t have to leave the comfort of your own home. Even luckier, many group buying sites are offering great deals on getaway and hotel packages, so you can give the gift of travel for your loved ones.

Of the many group buying sites, I’m only partial to a few. While I haven’t had the horror stories others have the misfortune to encounter, my experience with them have all been good. Though it’s a private sale site, rather than a group-buying site, one of my favorites stands out from the rest: Deal Grocer. This is mainly because they feature the best brands and deliver the best service to their members.

Misibis Bay Junior Suite by the pool

Deal Grocer’s mainstays include Misibis Bay, the luxury playground in Cagraray Island, Albay. Packages for their luxury villas and suites are offered at an amazing discount. There’s a 3-days/2-nights package for two at their villa, which includes daily buffet dinner priced at Php 40,000 (Php 99,776 originally),  3-days/2-nights package for four at a deluxe suite, with a Legazpi City tour priced at Php 35,000 (Php 79,042 originally), and a 3-days/2-nights package for two in a junior suite for Php 25,000 (Php 42,576 originally). All packages includes daily breakfast, round-trip transfers to and from Legazpi City airport, free use of non-motorized sports equipment, and is inclusive of all applicable taxes and surcharges.

If you’re looking for a break during the holidays, but don’t want to drive too far, you can also check out their hotel deals. They have overnight deals for the new Best Western Premier F1 Hotel in Bonifacio Global City that goes for Php 4,200 for a room, and Php 4,800 for a suite.

Crowne Plaza’s 7 Corners buffet

Hotel buffets have also become a huge thing these paste couple of years, and Deal Grocer delivers with deals for Paseo Uno at the Mandarin Oriental, Xin Tian Di and 7 Corners at the Crowne Plaza, and the Sunday Stars & Stripes brunch buffet at the Oakwood Premier Joy~Nostalg Center. This is great if you want to save yourself the hassle of holiday cooking.

This could be your room at Tagaytay Crosswinds Resort Suites

Because it’s Christmas, Just Wandering and Deal Grocer is giving out an overnight stay at Crosswinds Resort Suites in Tagaytay. Details to come soon, but you can take a peek at what the package offers over at Dealgrocer.com.
