Have you been to Tokyo? Got some gorgeous photos to share of this vibrant city? Want to go back and travel in style and luxury? Share your photo that best capture what Tokyo is, and get a chance to experience shangri-la.
Inspired by James Hilton’s novel Lost Horizon, the Shangri-La hotel group takes the name to heart and aims to deliver that sense of serenity and tranquility in their properties around the globe. Now you’ll get the chance to have the Shangri-La experience, and in Japan, no less!
The winner will get a five-night stay in the Presidential Suite with round-trip Cathay Pacific business class flights tickets to the city, as well as a Takashimaya shopping voucher worth ¥100,000. The prize for runner ups aren’t too shabby either!
To join the contest, upload your photo at the contest website, or share them on Instagram using the hashtag #mytokyophoto to qualify. The images will be judged by film director and photographer Kazuaki Kiriya, photographer Rowland Kirishima and calligraphy artist Sisyu. The judges will based their decision on creativity of interpretation and the quality of the images.
This contest is open to international visitors, as well as domestic residents of Japan. The submission deadline will be September 15, 2014, and winners will be announced in October 2014. For more details, visit www.shangri-la.jp/mytokyo.
