Hola! I’m back from Batanes. I’ve yet to finish working on my photos for posting, so I’ll start off with our travel budget. Predictably, the most expensive part of Batanes travel is the airfare. Good thing Seair helped us out in that one! It also helped that we were traveling as a group — big expenses like vehicle rentals and accommodation are divided 7 ways! This is definitely the cheapest trip I’ve had this year.

| 1 Thank you Seair! | |||
| 2 Expensive because I was feeling VERY generous on the ride to the airport in Manila. No transfer costs in Basco, since the house was within walking distance from the airport. | |||
| 3 This is a one-bedroom house with three double beds and several mattresses available. This is a great value for big groups, since there’s a good kitchen complete with utensils and cutlery. | |||
| 4 This is the easiest way to get around Batan and Sabtang island. Jeepneys doesn’t come by too often, and most of the attractions are off the main highway. | |||
| 5 This lunch was had somewhere around Batan. The owner of the house accept food orders, and lunch was had on this deck with a great view of the sea | |||
| 6 For only Php 250, we had a great lunch with delicious coconut crabs on the most beautiful locations: the beach in Sabtang. | |||
| 7 Most of our meals were had in the house, and since we have a kitchen, we just cooked our breakfast, lunch and dinner. | |||
| 8 There’s a fee collected upon arrival (Php 50) and on departure (Php 15) | |||
| 9 The housekeeper of Novita house was the best! She helped us arrange for our tours around Batan and Sabtang, our lunch during our day tours and she cleans up the house every morning. | |||

Cheapest? Quite a revelation
It would be good to reveal Seair fare though, as your readers will most likely not be able to fly for free!
Wow galing! Sana by next year makapunta din ako at sana same lang din magastos ko hehe
May budget entry ka rin ba for cebu and palawan? la lang hehe search ko na lang pala
sana maulit natin ito!
Cheap naman talaga Batanes if you exclude the airfare. I remember when I first went there we only spent 9k for 7 days exploring all 3 islands and that includes airfares. But either with seair or zestair it’s quite hard to top that now. Including airfare it would cost 10-14k pa rin.
nin, seair loves you dearly!
100 peso souvenir lang din ang binili ko hehe
ang SEAIR ba ay may biyaheng Cebu?
http://fjordz-hiraya.blogspot.com
Ajay: Ehehehehehe, definitely hindi na siya cheap kapag may airfare
But even with airfare, it’s still fairly reasonable… Seair’s roundtrip fare to Basco costs Php 11K. Expensive compared to travel to other provinces, but not as expensive as traveling overseas.
Mica: Yup! Meron akong Cebu and Coron, Palawan. Just look for them under Post Trip Accounting
Eric: Dapat talaga maulit kasi bitin!
Ferdz: Whoa, you’ve been to Itbayat? Nice!
Freeze: Medyo lang
Karla: Hahaha, medyo tinamad na ako tumingin tingin dun sa souvenir shop eh
Fjordz: Nope, they don’t fly to Cebu
wow this is a great pricing tip for anyone who’s planning a batanes getaway! thanks for sharing! ;-)

Hello,
Inquire lang po. We are going to batanes on Feb 21-27, i was wondering which will be cheaper kung kunin ko ung package dun sa hotel (P7500 all in) or mag-hire kame ng boat to sabtang, itbyat
ilan po kayo…pag marami po kayo (let say 5 and up) better rent a van. (7500) per head ba yan?
thanks!
