Updated Calaguas Travel Guide

Sorry for the lack of updates on the blog. The weekend has been really crazy. I finally took the Travel Photography class I was supposed to take last August, and I ended up with a bunch of crappy photos. Entirely my fault, I assure you, and not my teacher’s.

Anyhoo, I finally unearthed the piece of paper with the caretaker’s contact numbers from the big pile of mess I call my room. The Calaguas Travel Guide is now updated with additional contact numbers of boatmen from both Paracale and Vinzons port, as well as Bert Gonzales’ mobile number.

[UPDATE January 8, 2013] I haven’t been back to Calaguas, but I’ve been told that Bert Gonzales is no longer there. Also, Nelson Gomez, our boatman in Paracale has a new number: 0909 525 9821. I’d update the file, but I can’t find the original Word file >_<

    Nina!
Did you know may bayad na sa paggamit ng CR ngayon, 10 feysus! Ano be! Yumayaman na si Tata Bert!
At si Mang Nelson, P2500 na singil sa boat nya.

    Tsktsk..

Chyng: Well, we can’t blame them, really. It *is* Mang Bert’s house, though medyo unfair nga yung may Php 100 na “admission fee” As for the boat.. di ba ang unang price nga niya eh Php 3,000?

  3. It is fast becoming famous (hence it is also fast losing its rustic lonely planet appeal) kaya nagiging mahal na talaga – yay aman si Mang Bert, 2 weeks ako, we were there and 9 kami in the group. Along with us, there was another group composed of around a dozen people. Instant 2,100 kaagad yun!! :)

Excellent site, keep up the good work. I read a lot of blogs on a daily basis and for the most part, people lack substance but, I just wanted to make a quick comment to say I’m glad I found your blog. Thanks

Before you post...

I read all comments posted here, but sometimes I do not have the time nor energy to answer each one. I try to answer all the questions that have been posted, but if your question have been answered in the post or in the articles linked from the post, I will ignore you. So please read the post in its entirety before posting something. Once again, I reiterate that I am not affiliated with any hotel, embassy or company that have been featured in this blog unless otherwise stated. Also, posting your e-mail address and mobile number for the world to see? Bad idea. TYPING IN ALL CAPS makes it seem as if you're SHOUTING.
