Seair’s new Dornier 328

Southeast Asian Airlines (Seair) welcomes another Dornier 328 aircraft to its current fleet. This aircraft will be utilized in the airline’s Manila-Basco route, as the northernmost province of the Philippines is fast becoming one of the tourism hotspot in the country.

Henedina Abad, Congressional Chief of Staff Walter Estamo, and SEAIR Vice-President for Operations Capt. Adelberto Yap.

From the press kit:

Batanes is the only place in the Philippines that experiences four seasons, with autumn in September to November, winter from December to February, spring from March to May, and summer from June to August. SEAIR currently flies up to three times daily to Batanes until June.

From personal experience, I like flying the Dornier 328 to Boracay. With the Dornier, you can fly to Manila to Caticlan in just 35 minutes! My commute to the airport from my house takes longer than the flight.

I hope, PAL, Cebu Pacific, ZestAir and Airphil would have trips going to Batanes. So that ticket prizes will go down and more people would be able to see the beauty of Batanes. As of now, SEAIR has the monopoly of the route.
