How to apply for an Australian Tourist Visa Online: A guide for Filipinos

Back in September, my sister in Australia told me over Viber that she’s considering asking our mother to spend New Year’s with them again in Melbourne, and asked me if I am willing to accompany our mother to Australia. Of course, I am!

I’ve heard from friends and read in the comments section of my previous visa application guides that Philippine passport holders can now apply for an Australian tourist visa online. Since I do not like the stress that Manila traffic brings, and I do like doing business online, this was very appealing to me.

Create an ImmiAccount

The first step in applying for an Australian tourist visa online is to create an ImmiAccount. To create an account, you will need a valid email address. Make sure that you type in your email address correctly, and that you use an email address you regularly check. The embassy will be communicating with you using this address, so make sure that you check this email address often.

Application Form

Once you have created an account, you can start an application. This is basically the online, fillable version of Form 1419, so there is no need for you to download the form, fill it out, and upload it.

You can start filling out the application form, even if you have not completed compiling your documents yet. Make sure that the information you put in the application form are the same as the information in the supporting documents that you are submitting.

If you have filled out the form, but are not ready to submit yet, click on the Save button. This saves your answers in their database, and once you log back in, you can see your application, check the entries, and make edits.

Once you are ready to submit your application and upload your supporting documents, click on Submit.

Application Fee

When you submit your application form, you will be prompted to pay the Australian tourist visa application fee. For online applications, the only way to pay is through credit cards. If you do not have a credit card, or access to a credit card, I read that you can use prepaid debit cards.

Your card will be charged AU$135 + credit card surcharge fee. Based on BPI’s foreign exchange rate at the time, I paid Php 4,547.26. If you are applying via courier or VFS, the fixed visa fee is Php 4,900, and you would still have to pay for the VFS fee, courier fee, and the fee for the manager’s check.

Supporting Documents

I made sure that all of my supporting documents are complete before I submitted my application and paid the fee. I created my ImmiAccount and filled out the form on September 20, but I didn’t submit until October 5.

As soon as my payment has cleared, I uploaded my scanned documents. The Australian Embassy sets a limit of 30 files for Visitor Visa online applications, and none of the files must be more than 5MB in size. To keep file sizes small, they recommend that you scan your documents at 96 dpi, and to not attach photos in Office document files, as this will increase the file size greatly.

RELATED:   Was that really me?

Since I know my documents will have more than 30 pages, I merged and grouped them together. Also, instead of submitting separate photo files, I created a collage on Photoshop and added captions. I saved them as Portable Document Files (optimized), and used a service like to merge the PDFs into one file.

Here are the documents that I submitted:

Passport Photo

They did not give any specifications for the photo file, so I just scanned my passport picture at 180 dpi and saved it as JPG.

Cover Letter

I wrote a letter addressed to the consul explaining the purpose of my trip, who will be sponsoring my trip, why I need a multiple entry visa, and the reason why I need to come back to the Philippines. I included the ways in which they can reach me, should they need to get in touch for an interview. I also mentioned that I will be traveling, and the dates when I will be out of the country.

The supporting documents I submitted corroborates the content of my cover letter, which means that I provided proof of the purpose of the trip, proof that my sponsor can afford to shoulder my trip, proof of my relationship with my sponsor, and proof of my activities and relationships in the Philippines.

Certified Identification Documents

This is a requirement of the embassy: a certified or notarized copy of my passport and birth certificate.

Letter of Invitation

In my previous applications, my sister would send me letters via mail, which I include with my documents. Since I am applying online, I told her to just email me, instead of writing a letter, which would have taken weeks.
Get $20 travel credit on Airbnb
In her email, she stated that she wants me to accompany our mother to Melbourne, and that she will provide our tickets, and that we have the option to stay at her house, or my other sister’s house. She also stated she wants us to have a short holiday in New Zealand.

Along with the email, I also included a scan of my mother’s passport and her visa grant letter (she has a 3-year multiple entry Australian tourist visa).

You can save the email as PDF by clicking on Print, and then selecting Save as PDF/Export as PDF in your browser or email client.

Sponsor Documents

Since my sister is my sponsor, I had her send me a copy of her passport bio page, as well as her last four payslips, as evidence that she has the capacity to shoulder the cost of our trip to Melbourne.

Business Registration

Since I am self-employed and have my own business, I included my business registration papers in lieu of a Certificate of Employment.

Income Tax Return

As evidence of my income, I attached my latest Income Tax Return, which was submitted to the BIR last April 2015.

Most Recent Credit Card Statement

I also stated in my application that I will be using my credit card as a way to pay for goods and services while in the country.

Bank Statements

I submitted the Statement of Account for the previous 3-6 months. I did not request for a Bank Certificate anymore.

Family Photos

This was comprised of photos of me and my two sisters when we holidayed together in Tasmania during my previous visit, photos of me with my sisters’ families in Melbourne, photos of me with my family in the Philippines, and photos of me with my friend Khursten when I visited her in Sydney in 2013, and when we traveled to Japan together in 2014.

Travel Plans in 2016

To show that I have strong reasons to come back to the Philippines after my trip to Australia, I included the plane tickets that I have already booked. Since one of my travel plans include accompanying my mother and aunt to their hometown in Sorsogon in 2016, I included a photo collage from our trip last summer with extended family members.

One of my close friends is also getting married next year, so I included a scan of their wedding invitation, photos of me and my close friend during our trip to Japan together last year, and a photo of me together with my friend and her fiancΓ©.

Current Passport Visas and Stamps

Since the application checklist includes evidence of previous travels, I scanned all the entry and exit stamps from my previous travels in my current passport.

Previous Passport Visas and Stamps

My last Australian tourist visa is under my old passport, so I included it as well. My old passport also has my other visas, which includes a used visa for Canada, China, and Schengen, as well as valid multiple entry visas for Japan and the United States. I also included the pages with entry and exit stamps from my trips between 2011 and 2013.

I submitted my application in the early morning of October 5. I received an acknowledgement immediately after. On October 6, the Immigration and Visa Office of the Australian Embassy Philippines sent me an email requiring me to fill out a short online questionnaire. The questionnaire is basically the Application Checklist. Luckily, I was still at home when the email came, so I was able to quickly respond to their request.

This is why it’s very important that you type your email address correctly, and why you should always check your email after submitting your application online.

Grant Notification

Almost immediately after I submitted my filled out questionnaire, I left the house to go to the airport. By the following day, I received an email again from the Immigration Office, this time saying that my visa has already been granted.

To summarize my timeline:
September 20 – Created ImmiAccount, started filling out application form
October 1 – Requested statement of account from banks, notarized documents
October 2 – Scanned documents and created PDF
October 5 – Submitted application, paid visa fee, attached supporting documents
October 6 – Submitted Immigration Manila’s online questionnaire
October 7 – Received Visa Grant Notice

I remember back in 2006, when I first applied for an Australian visitor visa, I also submitted around this time of the year, and was granted in just a matter of days — I received notification of my visa grant while on a trip as well! Maybe there’s something about October?

Do you need a sponsor or to have a family in Australia to visit? Absolutely not! Many applicants are just there to tour the country. If you are a tourist, or visiting for a specific purpose (e.g. watching the Australian Open), make sure to include documents pertaining to them (tickets, bookings, etc.) with your application.

This is based on my personal experience in applying for an Australian tourist visa online. I’ve already written down everything I know. Please feel free to share your experiences in the comments. I’ll do my best to answer your questions, but I can’t really answer if your situation is different from mine (e.g. no work, no bank statement, no previous travel, etc.) however, there’s bound to be someone who is in the same boat, who may be able to answer your question. The visa discussions in the comments of this blog can get quite lively.

[EDIT October 22, 2015] Many in the comments both in this post and previous visa posts said that their application, even when lodged online took a month or more to get processed. I got really lucky with my application, and up until now, I don’t know why my application was granted so quickly. Is it because I said I was accompanying my 80-year old mother, because my sister is sponsoring me, because this is my third application, because I provided proof of my plans in 2016, or because I said I was going to watch the Australian Open?

Bear in mind that the Australian Embassy website that average processing time for a tourist visa is one month. To be safe, consider this as a minimum, rather than a maximum, and apply for a tourist visa as soon as you can, instead of waiting for the last minute and fretting over the long processing time as your flight date looms closer.

Hi! I’m applying my mother a tourist visa so that she can accompany me when I get to Aussie because I will be studying there. She’ll be staying there for only about less than a month or so.I just have a couple of questions that I hope you could answer πŸ™‚ 1.) Does she still need to provide a cover letter? 2.) If yes, where will I attach it? Because in your blog, there’s a “No Documentation” section; however, there’s no section like that right now in my mom’s application. 3) I’m reading some of the comments on this blog and I’m seeing some of them are saying that they did a medical. Does my mom need a medical? Or is that for those who are only applying for a 1 year visa? 4.) Lastly, since my relatives in Aussie will be the ones sending the invitation letter, does my mom need to provide a “relationship connection” to support that they are my relatives? If yes, where will I attach the “family tree”?

    Thank you <3

    • Dallie says:

      Hi Jeanine,

      2. I think it’s better if she can have make a letter also but it’s not necessarily but your sponsor must have an invitation letter but it could help if your mom will make also a cover letter stating that she will come back provide also some documents for this.
and I think you can put it on
( Relationship evidences) in” other ” or there’s is a letter or documents category.
      3. you’re right medical is only required for those who wish to apply multiple entry visa, but if not I don’t she will go to that process..
4.yes your mom need some supporting documents evidences of their relationship

      • ME says:

what I know is that medical is required for those applying 6 to 12 months stay. I have applied multiple entry pero 3 months stay each lng and I was not required a medical. And i was granted 1 year multiple entry without 8503 condition.

      • Jacky says:

Hi again everyone! Just an update! My mom already got her visa πŸ™‚ I was shocked how fast it was processed. We applied last Friday, Dec. 16, and we got a response last Monday, Dec. 19. Not only that, but she was also granted a multiple entry visa. Her visa is valid for 1 year. Just wanted to say thank you for the advises!

      • Patricia says:

Congrats Jeanine. God really hears the desires of your heart. Enjoy having your mum over there for the holidays.

      • Jeanine Asilo says:

Thank you, Patricia. Not only did we get her visa – and my visa on the 23rd so an early Christmas present from God – but we also got maybe one of the cheapest tickets we could ever get. Less than 20K and it’s already roundtrip for my mom. God is truly amazing

  5. beee says:

hello! i got my visa today! thank you so much for your help πŸ™‚ yaaaay

    • Patricia says:

  6. Patricia says:

I just lodged my application last night. Hoping and praying for the most favorable result. Claiming it in God’s name. Thy will be done. Thank you for all the helpful tips.

    • Dallie says:

Hi Patricia, I will pray for your application, too.. God will give you the desire of your heart, God promised that “what ever we ask for in Prayer believe that we have received it and it will be yours” so have faith, trust in God and keep praying.. PUSH!

God’s ways our not our ways and there’s nothing to hard and impossible to Him..

      • Patricia says:

Thank you Dallie. And yes we have lifted everything up to him as he knows better than any one else. Whatever his plans are for me and my boyfriend, we will whole heartedly accept it. As early as now we are claiming the approval in God’s name.

      • Dallie says:

Amen for that, I’m still waiting also but of course I’m being expectant and believed that the result will eventually come out with multiple visa granted, It’s my 2nd application actually, Let’s keep praying..

      • Patricia says:

When did you lodge yours? Single entry was what I applied for. This is my first time though. Hope my 2 previous denied US Visa application wont hurt my chances of being granted though.

  7. Patricia says:

To God be the Glory! Just received my Visa grant today. It just took me a day to wait. God is most powerful.

Thank you for all the tips I read here. Be flying on the 25th.

  8. Bee says:

Hi! i have a question po sana, i was granted a visa two days ago but dun sa itinerary ko sinabi ko na ill be going sa australia third week ng january, kaso nagkaron ng changes. Okay lang po ba yun? Di ba ko ma ku-question if ibang date ako pumunta ng aus? Like mga February na?Thank you!

    • Patricia says:

Hi. I think you need to inform them. Been granted a visa just tonight and read the clause with it regarding changes. Any change ata need sabihin eh. Not so sure though.

    • ME says:

Hi Bee! Congrats! Itinerary can change, plans change and I don’t see any problem about delaying your trip. Ang visa nman usually 6 months ang validity, so okay lng basta covered ka pa rin ng. Di rin nman kailangan inform mo sila lol. I applied last October and was granted a visa, the original plan was to travel there this December kaya lng super mahal ng fare. so we rescheduled the trip.

  9. Patricia says:

    Hi All,

Would just like to ask kasi im flying on the 25th na eh kaso may nabasa ako about CFO guidance amd counselling sticker. Do i need to secure thay kahit di naman kami papakasal at tourist visa lang ako? Thank you.

      • Patricia says:

Thank you. And one more thing, been reading some articles about offloading haha yung sinubmit namin na invitation letter sa Visa application ko stating he will cover all my travel expenses was not signed by justice of peace but still got approved. I read about it needs to be authenticated by our Philippine Embassy in AU which I need to present before leaving MNL?

Thank you. Just wanna make sure lang kasi I wont have any problems sa airport.

Hi gud day! I have a question regarding defacto visa. Right now i am holding a 1 year multi entry to Australia. And valid until june 7. I was thinking after this visa i will apply for a defacto visa. I know some of the requirements but still not sure what are all the papers i needed to submit and to prove the relationship. But i still have some idea. If anyone here know and did apply for it before and granted hope you can help me. Just to be sure i got all the papers i need. And also we all know that the defacto or partnership visa are very expensive. And when you submit the application you will also pay for it without the assurance that you will be granted. So i want to ask also what will happen if your application got denied you automatically lose the money? Or are they gonna refund your money? Thank you. Hope to get answer.

Hi. Thank you. Nkkatakot nman pla. Ang laking halaga mawawala pag na deny. Meron na kya dto na nag apply at na deny. If mag apply kasi ako sa Australia ako mag apply. Mas malaki cguro chance kun kasal na. But in my case kasi gusto nmin mauna yun pag apply ng visa. Pag ipunan din kasi yun Kasal. Anyway thank you. San ka ba sa Australia?

      • Annee says:

Hi kim! Better pakasal na muna kasi mas expensive ang visa kesa kasal lol if gusto mo yung super bongga na kasal talagang mahal yun but if you want a simple wedding ceremony na muna then mas madali yun. πŸ™‚ but still it’s your choice kasi at the end of the day we still want to obtain partner’s visa to really stay indefinitely in Oz to be with our partner. Good luck sissies!

      • Kim says:

Oo nga e. Pinag iisipin ko nga now kasi nkktakot yung defacto walang assurance. Thank you

Ours was approved after 4 working days! No existing US visa etc. Our passport only had 1 country stamp prior to application πŸ˜€ Goodluck!

    • Leila says:

Based din sa nabasa ko noon.. Last year pa dahil fina-follow ko din ung isang blog, mabilis talaga kapag january. Last year nag apply ako (first time) ng March at nagrant ng april. Total of 31 days ang hinintay ko at single entry sya.

Last month dec 28 2016 mag submit ako ulit ng application (Tourist visa) .. january 4 nareceived ko grant notice at multiple entry pa for 1 year.

  21. Bee says:

Hi guys! I need a little help sana. Ill be traveling this month in australia. What do i have to show the immigration? Visa grant notice lang po ba? Thank you

  22. Kass says:

Hello! I’m currently filling out the online application (ImmiAccount). How do I attach documents? Sorry, I can’t see any icons to attach files.. based on this post, Nina paid first before submitting the docs? I just really want to make sure before submitting. Hehe. Also, would it somehow help if I state that my sister works in Australia, but I’m not going to declare her as Sponsor..

    Thanks in advance! πŸ™‚

    • Shih says:

Hi, as far as I remember, the attach documents option is after the 20 steps-err-questions-err-page. I attached all necessary documents prior to paying.

      • Kass says:

Thank you, Shih! Also, may I know the documents that you submitted?

      • Shih says:

Hi Kass, I just submitted all applicable documents stated on this blog. I also included a Cover Letter that explains why I need to go back to PH after the declared date. And also our Ticket, since we bought our roundtrip ticket prior to visa application.

  23. Em says:

Hi sissies! I have question lang regarding sa passport. I have multiple entry kasi and mag expired na siya this 3rd week of January, I applied sa vfs makati last year. My question is, kasi nag renew ako ng passport last year November, do I need to inform ba yung embassy regarding my new passport or just bring my old and new passport? Thanks in advance! ?

    • Annie says:

Hi Ems. Will you be using your new passport to go to AU or you will be applying for a new visa? If you’re going to apply for a new visa then you could use yung bago or renewed passport number na lang and no need to inform the embassy. But, if you’re still going to use the visa that you acquired last year, meaning yung old passport details mo pa yun then you have to inform the embassy of your new passport number. Hope that helps.

    • ME says:

hi Em, plan mo ba umalis uli this January?kumbaga 2nd week na ng January. Most likely from the time na nagrenew ka ng passport last November di kna pumunta ng Oz? If that’s the case, I don’t think theres a need pa to inform them or fill up form 929 for passport changes, unless nga aalis ka pa. If you apply for a new visa u can use now your new passport.

      • Em says:

Hi guys! Sorry late reply, been busy kasi. Yes I did sent form 929 but no problem naman sa pinas. Pag dating ko dito sa Australia, they just asked me to wait for few minutes and scanned lang nila yung new passport ko then that’s it! Thanks sa pag answer. God bless ?

  24. Shih says:

Their online process was very convenient. We lodged our application via Immi Online last December 28. Was expecting to receive the notice maybe last week of January. But was surprised to received the Grant Notification today. It was after 4 working days! Our passport only had 1 visited country prior to application.

    • Dallie says:

Sure, what is your email add Jacky?

      • Maks says:

Hi Da?lie! I have few questions. I hope you can help me. Can I send you an email? If yes, may I have your email address?

    • Kass says:

Wooow! Congrats! Hope we would be as lucky as you!

      • Shih says:

Yey thanks! Now I’m too excited to create our itinerary! πŸ˜€

      • Annie says:

      • ern says:

@Maks..Bali yung first application Ko dati wala ako cover letter sa vfs ko pinasa, pag doon Kasi Bigay mo Lang..pag sa online I think pwede mo attach birth certificate Ng anak mo(if meron) sa assets mo sis.. yung 2nd application Ko sis gumawa na ako cover letter tapos yung prof na ba Balik Kami pinas ,photos of my parents with us attach Ko sa assets Ko sis..kasama Ko Kasi anak Ko Kaya parents Ko prof na babalik Kami pinas since wala ako assets dito pinas na pwede ila gay..kailangan Lang talaga sis Ma convince mo cla na babalik Ka..

      • ern says:

        @Maks..Goodluck sa application..

      • Maks says:

@ern question lang sa non-migrating members of family unit yes or no? Kng yes pwede ba anak ko lang ilalagay ko?

      • ern says:

@maks..u mean doon sa relatives not travelling to Australia na question sis?dko Ma remember yung migrating Kasi..pero yung sa relative not travelling to Australia nilagay Ko yes tapos yung anak Ko nilagay Ko noon first trip Ko Kasi dko sya kasama..

      • ern says:

  25. Kass says:

Hi Annie! Hopefully by next week. I still have to request some documents but I’m still busy at work. Good luck as well! Balitaan mo kami hehe

  26. ME says:

Hi, i recently got married, have my passport under my old last name but would like to use my new last name so im opting to get another passport. So i had an online-appointment for the passport renewal/name change. I notice from the form that says aside from the marriage certificate requirement there is this certification from the Commission on Filipino Overseas, that should be attended to by some who wishes to use their foreign national husband’s last name. So its alright for me to do this but my concern too was that i have been granted 1 year multiple entry visa under my former name and also have tickets for my flights. I read that any change in circumstance the embassy should be informed of or update changes. If i get new passport under new name pwede ko ba it update online? i saw on my immi account that there is this ‘update us’ choice for passport. ito po kaya un? Will my existing visa still valid and the same number and just be updated from last name to first name? Has anyone experienced this? Pls share lng po so i can be guided on what to do? TIA

  27. ME says:

i mean updated last name from former to present?

  28. Patricia says:

Same process and fees lang ba if multiple entry visa yung iaapply mo?

    • ME says:

hi Patricia, yes same fees lng din sya. Just say ‘yes’ to the question..’does the applicant intend to visit on more than one occasion?’

  29. Grace says:

Thanks po in advance

    • ME says:

      • Grace says:

Thanks Me. When is the best month to apply my TV? Im planning to go to OZ in May or June. It is possible ba na single entry ang request ko then igrant na multiple entry? My naencounter kna po bang ganon? Thanks po ulit

      • Annie says:

Same sentiments with ME, in my case, during my second app, I asked for multiple but was only granted a single entry. There’s no harm in asking though πŸ™‚ Best scenario, they will grant you a multiple entry. On my third app, I asked again for multiple and was granted πŸ™‚

  30. ivora ann says:

Hi question lng, sa pag-aapply ng tourist visa papuntang australia, need ng statement of account. Magkano ba ang ideal amount na laman dapat ng bank mo? Salamat

    • Annie says:

There’s no set amount but to give you an idea, your bank account should at least reflect that you can support your proposed stay. (i.e. Cost of living amount per day x total # of days = roughly what your bank account has :P) but if you are sponsored, that’s another story.

  31. ivora ann says:

    Thank you Annie…

One more pa, 10pax kmi mgvavation, then 6pax lng ang mystatement of account kasi minor pa ung 3tao.. 10 days kmi mgsstay dun, roughly estimate ok lng ba ung 50k per person? or baka di maaprove ung visa kasi kulang un? salamat.

  32. ME says:

@Grace ..i read previously in one blog na mas maganda nga daw kung maaga, like 3 mos before your scheduled visit. kc iba iba ang Case Officer, but lately mabilis kc sila magapprove. my first app in June 2016 took 20 days when i got granted, my 2nd in October 2016 took 2 days only. Ung iba grant nila kung ano hiningi mo, if single entry..un din bigay nila, ung iba kahit single entry hiningi mo bigay nila multiple. Same lng kc bayad at sayang ung chance. if you asked for multiple entry, me question don kung alam mo ung next entry mo and you will put the date, if not u will state the reason why. Sakin dahil second time ko, i asked for multiple entry since i have already got my ticket for 2 separate flights and hoping later in the year pa. Good luck and God bless sau Grace!

    • Grace says:

Thanks Me and Annie, when do u think is the best time to apply my TV? Plan ko punta ng OZ May or June. I was thinking to apply multiple entry kaya lang first time ko baka madeny lang. But i dont have a problem with the requirements, im employed nman and sponsor nman ako ni bf.

      • ME says:

I guess best time for you is around March. although lately mabilis sila magprocess..but hard to say still at least kung madelay di ka kabado. I think ill agree with you on applying single entry since its your first time yet.

      • Annie says:

I went last April and applied in January. Usually naman, six months yung validity nung visa, maganda siguro magapply ngayon, ang bilis nila magapprove eh πŸ™‚ So take advantage of that if possible.

  33. ern says:

So helpful talaga blog na eto..I just lodge our TV Jan9 and it was granted Jan10..thanks sa blog na eto ?

  34. Annee says:

Just wanna share the good news to everyone on here! Got my tv grant today! Only took 1 day for them to make a decision! Soooo happy! πŸ˜€

  35. marian says:

Good day! Just wondering if I can seek advice from you. My fiance is a military personnel in Australia, currently posted in Darwin in Northern Territory. I have never been to Australia but we have traveled to Japan together once. We are planning to submit a tourist visa for us to go to Sydney together when he gets his next military leave. We’re still saving up money for our Prospective Marriage Visa so for now Tourist muna and we are still waiting for him to be posted in Brisbane because we don’t want to settle in Darwin. Just wondering if the embassy would think it’s dodgy for us to submit a Tourist visa since fiance na ang status namin? Maybe they’d suspect us of trying to bridge a tourist and prospective marriage visa? which we wont naman. I would appreciate your response. Salamat!

    • Annee says:

      Hi Marian!
The first time we applied for tv ay fiance na din status namin dalawa and granted naman xa as long as you provide all the necessary docs na hingin nila, walang problema yun just be honest lang. πŸ™‚ Now that we’re married but we haven’t lodged pv pa at andito ako sa pinas ngayon, just today lang (January 11) na grant yung tv ko ulit. So thankful to God and to this blog and everyone on here. πŸ™‚

      • Marian says:

Thanks for sharing your experiece Ms. Annee. One more thing, is statutory declaration needed for tv? Or kahit letter of invitation lang? Did you apply online or via VFS? We are really pursuing tv talaga this year so I can meet his family and friends so we have photos together with them na mapepresent namin by the time mag apply na kami for PMV. Malaki daw ang bearing nun. Do you think they’d consider my reason valid to apply for multiple entry visa if we give emphasis that my fiance is an infantry soldier and his time off work is always tentative so we want to make sure that i can fly to australia if his military commitment doesnt allow him to fly here in the ph? Salamat po.

      • Marian says:

And ms. Annee, bridging po ba yung tv at pmv nyo? San po kayo kinasal? Hehe salamat po sinulit ko na mga tanong. Godbless po πŸ™‚

      • Annee says:

        Hi Marian!
The first time we lodged my application for tv, invitation letter lang inattach namin at ok na xa kahit wala na statutory dec. We requested for 3 mos lang taz nun nandun nako sa Oz at lapit na ma expire visa ko, we applied for extension na lang for another 9 mos at dun na rin kami nag pakasal. πŸ™‚ We applied online btw. πŸ™‚

      • marian says:

ah ok po ms. annee, meaning during your extended 9 months sa tourist visa nyo, dun nyo inapply yung PMV nyo? how long po naapprove yung PMV nyo applied online? naisip ko rin po online nalang kasi malaki ang matitipid talaga diba.

      • Annee says:

We didn’t apply for pmv sis @Marian. Only tv going there and then the 9 mos extension. Umuwi ako muna ng pinas nung malapit na ma expire ulit yung tv ko to celebrate Christmas and new year with my family. Apply ulit ako ng tv recently at granted na xa ngayon para makabalik ulit sa Oz and planning to lodge partner /spouse visa there. πŸ™‚

      • Marian says:

Pls pa enlighten po ako regarding this. Thanks po.

      • marian says:

did you present your own bank statement po aside from your husband’s bank statement? I’ve been self employed and i have no stable source of income lately kasi i choose to be freelance since my fiance’s visits here are always spontaneous and tentative because of his nature of work, i opted not to have an office job coz it won’t allow me to go on frequent leaves. My fiance has been financially supporting me rin po, do we need to show them my bank statement given na unemployed po ang status ko? thanks po. sorry po ang dami kong tanong, wala po kasi akong ibang thread na makitang kasing responsive ng thread na to. Godbless po!

      • Annee says:

Yes @Marian i think you can present your bank statement din if you want to. But mine kasi ke hubby lang na bank account pinasa namin and it was alrighty. πŸ™‚ Don’t worry, I’m sure ma grant ka basta just do the things you need to do, the more docs kasi the merrier πŸ˜€ para malaki chance ma approve but i think ma approve ka na man eh. Stay positive and just pray to God. Pwede ka rin mag backread ng previous comments from our sissies dito sa thread so you’ll have more idea on what to do. πŸ™‚

      • Marian says:

Thank you so much Ms. Annee, before kasi na wala pang stamp passport ko im super hesitant to apply for TV but now we’ve been to Japan so I guess that’s a good thing naman diba. Thank you so much sobrang helpful ng blog na ‘to. Im hoping to encounter anyone here with the same situation as me, with a military fiance, if in any way having a partner that works for the government has been a a positive impression for them. SALAMAT! πŸ™‚

      • marian says:

MS. Annee, when you applied for TV as unemployed, what were the reasons you established for coming back to the philippines? Can I include my mother’s business ITR and DTI permit as proof that I am helping out in our family’s business as a solid proof that I will come back here? Salamat. Godbless. πŸ™‚

    • Marian says:

Ms. Annee, salamat po. Tama po ba, nagpakasal kayo sa oz while on tv. Ok lang po magpakasal kahit TV lang at hindi Pmv ang visa while nasa australia? πŸ™‚

      • Annee says:

@Marian in my case sa first tv application ko, unemployed din ako. As long as you provide all the docs lang and proofs that your bf will provide for all your needs while in Oz, ok lang yun. And yes, we got married in Oz while on tv. πŸ™‚

  36. Nani says:

    • Annie says:

Hi Nani πŸ™‚ Once your visa expires, you have to apply for a new one. As far as I know, di siya pwede irenew, pwede siya iextend kung nagamit mo siya and nasa Australia ka πŸ™‚

  37. nancy says:

hello po s lahat ng members.. magtatanung lang po ako san ko banda iaattach yung cover letter ko? at saka yung family pictures? at isa pa po san ko ba pwede iattach yung medical certificate ko that im pregnant? kasi nka state po dun s both letter nmin n im pregnant eh….pleasepo paadvice nman.. thank you so much

    • MM says:

Hello, are you applying for a tourist Visa ? Then your pregnant? Where mo balak manganak here in oz or in the Phil. ?

      • nancy says:

sa aus po.. yes im applying tv po… yun yung plan nmin ni bf sa aus ako manganganak.. san ko ba pwede k iattach yun med cert. 3 san ko ba iaatach yung cover letter ko

      • MM says:

Is this your first time to apply?
I just wanna share it to you, I was pregnant before and I applied for a tourist visa and it was denied because it’s a wrong Visa.
If I were you, kindly research about medical treatment Visa which is Free. Do you have facebook, messenger or Viber. I chat you there.

      • nancy says:

im here po now sa aus.. need umuwi kasi mag eexpire n visa ko.. so im applying again by online. first time ko po mag apply online kya nangangapa tlga ako… kasi need to be sure n mgrant kasi need ko din bumalik po agad..

      • MM says:

I thought nasa Pinas ka. πŸ™‚ ito gawin mo po.
Bago ka umuwi, Punta ka sa hospital and find a doctor and ask for a Letter of confirmation/endorsement from treating medical facility onshore. Na sya yung magpapaanak Sayo dito. After that Pag nasa Pinas kana you need to undergo medical X-ray and hepa B. Pero may request Sayo yung embassy about Jan.

Kase po nung ako, denied po ako and they suggest me to apply for medical treatment Visa.

      • nancy says:

0459398303 yan viber ko sis.. wait kita sa viber

  38. Cris says:

  39. thea says:

Hi po, ask ko lang po kasi I’m planning to visit my bf sa Sydney this June. Mag aapply po ako ng TV pero hindi ko po alam kung ano ang supporting documents ang pwede kong ipass since gagraduate palang ako this wala pa ako ng other documents stated in the article. This trip will be sponsored naman po by my bf. I hope you can help me po..thanks! ?

    • Annie says:

Hi Thea, if you are sponsored by your boyfriend then most of the documents will come from him, bank statement, letter of invitation, certificate of employment from his employer, his passport. As supporting documents, if you have your own savings account then a bank statement from you would be a good supporting documents or if you have any assets. Best to create your own cover letter too, explaining your purpose and of course that you will come back home after your visit.

      • thea says:

Thanks Annie! Another thing po, do we need to certify all the documents na iproprovide ng bf ko to a lawyer? If so, doon ba sa Oz or ako na dito sa Philippines? Should I also provide an RF to prove that I’m a student? I do have a bank account pero konti lang ang laman..and wala po akong assets. My mom owns a business po that I help in managing..should I mention it? Ano pa po kaya ang other possible reasons I can write na babalik ako sa Phil? Though sabay naman kami ng bf ko babalik ng Phil sa September kasi birthday ng mom niya. Thanks po.

      • Patricia says:

Hi! With my Tourist Visa we didnt have it certify. But I was granted after a day of application. If youre both going here and have booked tickets already include mo din yun. You can state there that your bf is supporting you he just needs to provide financial capacity docus like statements. And better include ung RF mo to prove na student ka and talagang babalik ka ng pinas. If your bf is sponsoring you the embassy wont mind how.much you have as long as he is finacially capable to support your stay there

      • thea says:

Thanks po! I’ll be making an immiaccount tonight. Excited na ang bf ko coz this has been our long time dream. I hope ma approve po..medyo hesitant ako kasi first time ko magprocure ng mga ganito and even to travel abroad. Hehehe.

      • Annie says:

Hi Thea πŸ™‚ Yes, Patricia is right, you can include your RF πŸ™‚ and mention in your cover letter that you help your mum manage her business is here. Good luck πŸ™‚ Oh, include din your itinerary (i.e. sights to see, places to visit) para legit na tourism talaga πŸ˜€

      • thea says:

Thanks po! I’m gathering all the documents na po now. I hope enough po para ma approve. Thanks po ulit! ?

  40. Gie says:

Hello im doing mg tv po. Nde ko po alam kung asset ilalagy since i dont have work and i dont any. Bank statement lang. At nde ko alm kung iaattach ko. Nakatakot nmn sad tlga baka mdenied. I need your help po.

    • Annie says:

Hello πŸ™‚ Are you sponsored or invited?
You can put in the assets, the same bank statement, indicate on your cover letter, why you don’t have any assets but explain your strong ties in the Philippines.

  41. Grace says:

Hello mga sis help nman po, im currently fill in up the form in immiaccount kahit paunti unti palang. Ano po yung NATIONAL IDENTITY CARD and OTHER IDENTITY CARD? thanks po sa help in advance.

  42. Maks says:

I am appkying for TV question lang sa non-migrating members of family unit yes or no? I have a daughter but d siya kasama sa vacation

    • Annie says:

Yes, part ng family unit, ang husband and children πŸ™‚

partner – married or de facto (same or opposite sex)
dependent child, up to 23 years of age

      Source: IMMI site πŸ™‚

  43. Selle says:

Hi question po regarding sa assets.. pwede ba ipanotarize yung certificate of ownership ng auto kahit under mortgage pa sya?

And alin pa pong mga docs ang need ma-notarize?
    – Passport
    – BIrth cert
    – Bank statement
    – Cert of employment

    Thanks a lot.

  44. Kass says:

Hi everyone. Just want to share that my visa was granted today. I submitted my application online just last Friday. However, my boyfriend was denied πŸ™ Reason was he had a new job last May and his incentives might not be sufficient for him to be induced to return back to PH. But we both attached our roundtrip tickets πŸ™ any chance he can still be granted visa? Our trip will be this March..

    • Annie says:

Hi Kass, he can reapply again anytime and present more documents that will support he has strong family ties here in the Philippines. Sorry to hear that but there’s still a chance for him to be granted a visa, so don’t lose hope. πŸ™‚ Is his new job here in the PH? I also started a new job last year and I told them that I want to further my career here as one of the reasons of coming back.

      • Kass says:

Hi Annie, yup he works here in PH. We’re still thinking if he’s going to re-apply, ang hirap i-risk kasi baka masayang lang yung money πŸ™

      • Kass says:

Also, any suggestions of what additional docs can be submitted as proof that he intends to come back here? He doesn’t have any properties here currently.. Thanks in advance.

  45. Ella says:

Hi Guys, we’re booked on 15 Aug to 30 Aug 2017. Ok lang kayang mag-apply na ako ng tourist visa as early as now? Nakaindicate naman sa invitation letter ng brother ko and application form yung target dates ng visit. Worry ko kasi baka 3 or 6 months lang yung validity ng visa na ibigay since first time namin pupunta dun.

    • Annie says:

Hi Ella, usually six months talaga yung validity ng visa, even if you state your intended travel dates, better to apply during the time na maccover yung August as part of the six months. Say around February 15-20, just to be sure. I always get six months validity unless multiple entry yung mabigay πŸ™‚ But to be really sure especially since this will be your first application. Three months before should give you ample time to process your application.

  46. JL says:

Thanks a lot for all the info you provided! I also applied online via IMMI and I just wanted to share that I have just been granted a one-year multiple-entry visa to Australia! The best part is that it was granted to me just one day after the date of my application (applied yesterday, visa granted today!) The KEY is to make sure that all requirements are complete (I even attached my employment contract which is something that is not usually mentioned in any blogs I’ve read). Anyway, goodluck to everyone and yes it is possible to get your visa in a day!

    • Selle says:

      Congratulations, JL!

Is this your first time to apply for an AU tourist visa?
Do you have other out of the country travels prior to this application?

others have done that Lass..i think you just have to tell the immigration if ur asked why one way ticket only. Jst be honest and keep cool. Tell them you and your bf’s planning to go together in Bali or Singapore. but be mindful that you should leave australia before your visa expires.

  48. KC says:

Hello po, just wanna share that my visa was granted and 1 day lang after lodging ng vfs global.. but wala akong na-receive na email for the result until nung wednesday I decided na tumawag sa vfs to inquire the status by the way nag-submit ako ng application ng Dec. 21.. as per agent na nakausap ko, decision was already sent last Dec. 23 or Jan. 3 pa but wala talaga akong natanggal.. he gave me a link na pwede ako magrequest to resend the result but until kaninang morning wala pa din so tumawag ulit ako sa kanila to report kaya sabi ng agent he will email the immigration regarding sa request ko.. after 2-3 hours I received the email from vevo that it was granted ng Dec. 23.. super thanks sa blog na ito..

  49. C says:

Thank you for all of the information that you have provided. It helped me with my application a couple of days ago. I just wanted to share my experience regarding my application, I should’ve applied online via IMMI as per the lady from VFS and she says that it takes the same time to process the visa, online or via paper.

First time I applied for an Australian visa was last Oct 2015 and it was done via VFS as well, lodged a paper application. I haven’t traveled outside of the country and after 3 days, I got granted.

Recently, my friend invited me to visit this Feb. I applied last Jan 18, 2017 and made sure that all of the documents are complete. I got granted after 2 days, I prayed so hard to get this visa. Anyway, good luck and congratulations to everybody!

Hello everyone I’ve been to Australia once last yeat for three months with the help of this blog. Now i need some help again.
I apply for Partner Visa offshore via immi online last Dec. 2, 2016 and i am currently 8 months pregnant with my husband’s first child.
