A lot of people have stumbled into my blog by searching for info about Cebu Pacific. I’ve made a short list of answers to frequently asked questions (or search phrases/keywords in this case).

Answers are based on my experiences with the airline, other traveler’s experiences and from Cebu Pacific’s website. I am in no way affiliated with Cebu Pacific. I am not and have never worked for the airline.

Hope this helps!

Cebu PacificWith all the promos Cebu Pacific had last 2006, it’s pretty hard to avoid not booking through them at least once. Their acquisition of brand new Airbus A319′s, enabled them to offer flights to more regional destinations, which in turn gave more Filipinos options for cheap travel both domestically and overseas.

I flew with them twice last year: to Cebu and to Bacolod, both originating in Manila. Back then Cebu Pacific was still giving out free bottles of C2 Iced tea. I hear that they’ve stopped giving them out this year (to the dismay of Pinoy travelers who are used to freebies). I wonder if they still have their fun games.

Piso fares are back!

Posted by nina under Airlines

Whip out your credit cards and get ready to plan yet another vacation as Cebu Pacific has just brought back their Piso fares promo!

For only ONE PESO, everyday can be a holiday! Go to the beach for the weekend or head out and see what’s happening around the country with our P1 seat sale.

Take your pick and fly to Bacolod, Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Clark, Cotabato, D! ipolog, Davao, Dumaguete, General Santos, Iloilo, Kalibo, Laoag, Legaspi, Manila, Puerto Princesa, Roxas, Tacloban, Tagbilaran and Zamboanga for just ONE PESO!

Hurry, the ONE PESO seat sale is from May 17 to 22 only, for travel from July 16 to December 15, 2007.

I was so excited when I got this in the mail, in light of the sudden increase in my credit limit, but I’m giving it a pass because I can’t find a piso fare. T_T Oh well, it’s just not meant to be.

As always, tickets are non-refundable and exclusive of taxes and other surcharges. Double-check your bookings and schedule before hitting that confirm button!

Two good news for [tag]Boracay[/tag] bound passengers next year!

First, [tag]South East Asian Airlines[/tag] is doing a Cebu Pacific, and offering a seat sale on their 11th anniversary.

Patrick Tan, vice president for commercial affairs, said, “To celebrate our 11th birthday, we will slash fares from P2,070 to about P540.”

The amounts do not include regular surcharges and tax.

The seat sale runs from Dec. 15 to Dec. 26. The travel period is from Jan. 1 to March 31, 2007.

Cebu Pacific’s website and booking facilities now includes Singapore! I tried booking to see how much the fare would cost.

The promo fare (buy from July 20 – 26, travel from Aug 31 – Oct 19) amounts to PHP 6,327.00.

The non-promo fare amounts to Php 8,327.00 roundtrip.

Not bad, eh? It comes out higher than Tiger Airway’s roundtrip fares, but at least you get to fly from (the pitiful) NAIA Terminal 1. The question now is, how will their service fare compared to their competitors’?

One downside to Cebu Pacific’s new route is the time. Though they will be flying to and from Singapore daily, the timing is a bit off:

Departure from Manila is at 8:30pm, arrive in Singapore at 11:55pm
Departure from Singapore is at 12:40am, arrive in Manila at 4:05am

I suppose it’s great if you need to be in Singapore or Manila for a meeting the following day, hahaha. It’d suck if you’re paying for accommodations in Singapore because you’d be paying for a whole night when you’d only be staying for only half of it. I’m so glad I have relatives in Singapore. :D

There’s no announcement in their website yet, so I was having doubts whether it’s true (though the poster claims he received the announcement via e-mail & sms from Cebu Pacific).

In another forum, I found out that it is true.
